Mother 𖦹 Scientist 𖦹 Space Holder 𖦹

Meet Sia

I will begin to tell you who I am beyond the roles that I choose to inhabit.

I am a woman who has spent much of her life first escaping and then returning to learn how to truly listen.

To the body.
To the land.
To grief. To rage.
To silence.
To the intelligence beneath what we have been taught to call broken.

I am a scientist by training, a practitioner by devotion, and a mother by the deepest initiation of my life.

My relationship with the female body has never been purely academic.

It has been lived.

Through laboratories and lecture halls, through scientific research and embodied practice, through grief and death,  motherhood and the unraveling of identities I once believed I had to become.

Over time, I began to see that the female body cannot be understood in isolation.

Hormones speak to the nervous system.
The nervous system speaks to relationship.
The gut speaks to the world around us.

We are living systems within living systems.

This understanding is the ground from which the work I am now bringing into being has emerged.

A way of meeting the female body as an interconnected ecology, where physiology meets the psyche, science meets symbolism, and the personal meets the ancestral.

My scientific training gives me the language to understand mechanisms.

My somatic practice teaches me to listen beyond language.

Ritual reminds me that not everything sacred can be measured.

And motherhood has taught me something no certification ever could:

life asks to be tended, not controlled.

The qualifications matter. They are the tools I have gathered to hold this work with integrity.

But I do not believe women need another expert to tell them what is wrong with them.

I believe we desire brave spaces where to feel safe enough to hear ourselves.

Spaces where symptoms become information.
Where grief has somewhere to go.
Where rage does not have to become pathology.
Where rest is allowed.
Where the body is not an obstacle to overcome.

The body is the vehicle.

This is the work I am devoted to bringing into the world:

Creating spaces where women can return to relationship with themselves, not to become a perfected version of womanhood, but to remember & attune to the intelligence already moving through their flesh.

To listen.
To tend.
To recalibrate.

And perhaps, to become the women through whom something different can be born.

The tools I carry

Science & Research
BSc Biochemistry · PhD Tropical Medicine

Embodiment & Somatics
Embodied Flow · Yin Yoga · Somatic Inquiry

Ritual & Altered States
Reiki · Ritual Practice · Trauma-Informed Altered-State Integration

The emerging work
Female Ecology
is a living-systems approach to remembering the female body as an intelligent, relational ecosystem shaped by physiology, psyche, nervous system, environment, culture, and the cyclical forces that move through her.

These are the tools.
The work is the remembering.
